Location: Brussels Pfizer Country Office (Boulevard de la Plaine 17, Ixelles) – Hybrid home/site arrangement

Employment type: Fixed-term contract of one year.

About the role:

 You will be a member of Pfizer’s dedicated and highly effective Quality Operations (SCMOQ) team of the Belgian affiliate. 

In this function, you will be managing Quality Assurance (QA) activities and administrative tasks to support the Product Quality Management System for products marketed in Belgium and Luxemburg. Your writing skills will ensure that all quality operations are handled as per Regulatory Authority and Pfizer expectations.

As a Quality Operations Officer, your knowledge and skills will contribute towards the goals and objectives of the team. Your focus and ability to meet team targets will help in completing critical deliverables. Your innovative use of communication tools and techniques will facilitate in establishing good collaboration with colleagues from other functions and customers.

Main responsibilities:  

QA and administrative tasks in compliance with applicable procedures:

  • Management of product (quality) complaints received from the Belgian and Luxemburg markets: intake in the global database, collection of complaint samples and response to complainants.

  • Review the documentation related to returns and assess the returned goods as per the acceptance criteria for return into saleable stock. 

  • Review the documentation related to relabeling/repackaging operations executed by the third party Logistics Service Provider (LSP) for release to the market. 

  • Ensure compliant and timely documentation of product quality deviations according to the procedures. 

  • Support the SCMOQ BeLux team with the deployment and the maintenance of an effective and sustainable management of the Quality System upon request.

  • Participate/Attribute to increasing awareness and understanding of quality requirements and enhance the Quality Culture at the Pfizer Country Office (PCO).

  • Interact with the relevant local stakeholders such as Drug Safety Unit (DSU), Global Supply Chain (GSC), Customer Service (CS), Regulatory Affairs (RA), Medical, Business Units and external stakeholders such as wholesalers, pharmacists and physicians and third party Logistics Service Provider (LSP) as needed. 

About you:

  • Bachelor in sciences (biomedical, pharmaceutical, chemistry) or equivalent by experience.

  • English, French and Dutch: verbal and written.

  • Proficiency in using System Application and MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). 

Nice-to-Have

  • Previous working experience in pharmaceutical or related industry is an asset.

Soft skills 

  • Excellent organization, analysis & writing skills. 

  • Diplomatic in communication and builds trust with internal and external stakeholders and acts with integrity/discretion.

  • Effective team player and self-motivated individual who is comfortable with working independently.

  • Reliable/flexible according to the needs of the team/business and eager to learn.
