Job Summary
The Jags on Campus (JoC) program is an applied learning lab for undergraduate students, allowing them to obtain paid internship experience with a site mentor in a campus-based area aligned with the students major/career interests. Internships through JoC are competitive and paid. The Jags on Campus Manager oversees all aspects of the program, including program evaluation, funding, and operational components, while supervising one full-time coordinator.
Responsibilities
The duties include, but are not limited to:
FISCAL AND OPERATIONAL MANAGEMENT:
Manage the Jags on Campus (JoC) program budget of $400,000+.
Establish timelines and deliverables across Human Resources to successfully onboard campus interns for fall and spring semesters.
Set timelines for active JoC intern workflows and establish plans for the next term.
Oversee payroll and the operational lifecycle of the program each semester.
Evaluate program effectiveness and use a continuous improvement approach to refine and grow the program.
Ensure the JoC program aligns with the campus student employment framework in Human Resources and identify areas needing refinement.
Coordinate events and resources to recognize student and site mentor experiences.
TRAINING & DEVELOPMENT OF SITE MENTORS AND INTERNSHIP:
Provide training and development to site mentors and students regarding best practices in applied learning, professional development, and operational guidelines.
Establish rubrics to assess JoC proposals for funding and coach those whose proposals are not approved on future refinements.
Ensure site mentors work effectively with students to create specific learning objectives for each internship.
Conduct, collect, and assess mid-term and final evaluations for program reviews and refinements from site mentors and students.
Ensure career-readiness principles are scaled and assessed across campus experiences.
Consult with faculty/staff, site mentors, and student interns regarding sensitive issues involving employee relations, supervision, and coaching.
Conduct site visits for active JoC interns/supervision to assess program performance and ensure compliance.
Facilitate intern support to address personnel issues or other concerns affecting academic and applied-learning experiences.
Make appropriate referrals as needed.
Coach student applicants to the JoC program on effective job-search and interviewing practices.
Conduct workshops that promote student success and career-readiness principles.
PERSONNEL:
Manage one full-time Campus Internship Coordinator.
Ensure timely and consistent JoC operations involving payroll, HR transactions, correspondence, and workflows.
CAREER SERVICES PROFESSIONALISM/TEAMWORK/LEADERSHIP:
Maintain professional affiliations and memberships in organizations that represent the university and Career Services.
Focus on professional development to stay current with trends in managing the program area.
Participate in conferences, workshops, technology instruction, and other relevant professional-development activities.
Conduct all roles and responsibilities as a professional model to students and as a professional representative of the university and community.
Maintain a positive customer-service relationship with internal and external customers by being polite, punctual, flexible, organized, and accessible.
Establish seamless communication with Career Services colleagues to keep the office informed of initiatives and needs.
Collaborate and resolve office issues and needs in a timely and professional manner.
Provide support to core Career Services operations, including programming, student engagement, and employer engagement.
Perform other duties as assigned.
REPORTING, DOCUMENTATION & TECHNOLOGY MANAGEMENT:
Maintain expert knowledge of technology used in career exploration and job-search resources to assist students and employers.
Maintain databases and student files for monthly, semester, and annual reporting purposes.
Maintain quality-control measures through the Career Services employment system.
Monitor new-user updates and resumes loaded for accuracy.
Review new jobs posted for employer follow-up.
Pull reports as needed to benchmark data.
Assist managers with projects related to the system.
Utilize Banner, PeopleSoft, Institutional Research reports, and other campus information resources to generate relevant data for verification and reporting.
PERFORM OTHER RELATED DUTIES AS ASSIGNED:
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Master's degree from an Accredited College or University in Human Resources, Higher Education or related field with a minimum of one year of experience in human resources, higher education, or related area required.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience with internship program management or training and development.

Shift/Salary/Benefits
Shift: Days; M-F (Work outside of normal business hours may be required)
Pay Band: B10
Salary: $52,500.00/salaried-$61,000.00/salaried
Salary to be commensurate with qualifications of the selected candidate within the established range (generally minimum-midpoint) of the position
