Job Summary

 

The AV Project Specialist primary focus is effective coordination and implementation of AV projects across the enterprise of Augusta University. This role bridges project management, technical coordination, and stakeholder communication to ensure AV upgrades, installations, and initiates are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with institutional standards. The AV Project Coordinator works closely with the AV Engineers, Associate AV Engineers, AV Installers, Facilities, and IT Leadership to maintain consistent, high-quality experience for AV projects across all of Augusta University's campuses.

Responsibilities

 

The duties include, but are not limited to: 

PROJECT COORDINATION & PLANNING, STAKEHOLDER COMMUNICATION:
Develop schedules, milestones, and resource plans
Track project progress, identify risks, and escalate issues to leadership
Maintain project documentation including meeting notes, action items, timelines, and change requests
Support procurement workflows by gathering quotes, tracking equipment receivables, and coordinating vendor deliveries
STAKEHOLDER COMMUNICATION & COLLABORATION:
Serve as primary point of contact for project stakeholders including faculty, staff, integrators, and IT partners
Coordinate site visits, walkthroughs, and installation schedules with internal teams and external vendors
Communicate project updates, timelines, and impacts to campus partners in a clear professional manner
TECHNICAL COORDINATION:
Support AV Engineers, Associate AV Engineers, and AV Installers along with other trades during installation phases by coordinating access and verifying deliverables
Maintain inventory records for AV equipment and project related assets
OPERATIONAL SUPPORT:
Assist in maintaining/developing AV standards, templates, project workflows, and project execution standards.
Manage and report on project roadmaps. 

OTHER: Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

 

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.

OR

Associate's degree from an accredited college or university with two years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

 

Preferred Experience
Experience in higher education, enterprise IT, or AV integration environments. CTS, PMP, or CAPM certifications.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

 

KNOWLEDGE

Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer software/databases

 

SKILLS

Detail-oriented

Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills

 

ABILITIES

Ability to maintain confidentiality

Shift/Salary/Benefits

 

Shift: Days/M-F (Work outside of normal business hours may be required)

Pay Band: B9

Salary: Minimum $48,800/annual - Midpoint: $50,467/annual

Salary to be commensurate with the qualifications of the selected candidate within the established range (generally minimum midpoint) of the position.
