Job Description

Responsibilities*
Develop, design, and conduct research projects that create new and improved existing Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) systems, especially for use with medical robots
Participate in formulating research methods, and suggest options for improving quality and recommending solutions for OCT data processing and analysis
Work independently on the collection of data and analysis of research results related to OCT and medical robot performance
Assemble, test, calibrate, clean, or make minor repairs to OCT systems and the systems in which they are integrated
Prepare reports, write documentation, and draft manuscripts, especially related to OCT system operation, performance, and integration
Meet weekly with the lab PI in individual and group settings to review research progress

Required Qualifications*
Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field
1 to 3 years of related experience
Prior experience with OCT system operation, OCT signal processing, and/or image-guided medical robots

Additional Information
This is a 2-year term-limited position through 05/30/2028 with possible renewal based on funding extension.
