Job Description

Summary

The Department of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas is seeking
a full time Audiologist. The candidate will work closely with our team of audiologists and otology providers, who diagnose,manage, and treat disorders of hearing and balance in adults. Our outpatient audiology/otology clinic provides a wide range of diagnostic services, including comprehensive hearing evaluations, hearing aid services, bone conduction implant services, cochlear implant services, and vestibular assessments.

This position is located at our Jamal Specialty Center.

Job Duties

  • Administers and interprets basic hearing evaluations and assessments.
  • Administers and interprets some special hearing evaluations and assessments.
  • Conveys test results and adapts explanation to patient and refers patient to specialized facilities, if necessary.
  • Maintains and calibrates equipment.
  • Maintains professional certification by meeting all continuing education requirements.
  • May provide additional assistance in research projects.
  • Performs other job related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Doctoral degree in Audiology.
  • No experience required.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A) from the American Speech Language and Hearing Association (ASHA) and Texas State Licensure as an Audiologist from the Texas Department of Licensing & Regulation (TDLR).
