Supervisor, Hematopathology - Full Time, Days

We are seeking a full-time Supervisor to lead the Hematopathology Laboratory, overseeing daily operations of the Flow Cytometry and Bone Marrow labs. This role performs and reports high-complexity clinical testing while ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards (FACT, AABB, CAP, FDA, Joint Commission, and more). As a key member of the Hematopathology leadership team, the Supervisor supports administrative functions, collaborates closely with pathologists on patient cases and new test development, and serves as a technical and administrative resource for lab staff and leadership.

As a successful candidate, you will:

  • Perform and oversee complex clinical laboratory testing, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with turnaround times and regulatory standards.
  • Lead quality management initiatives by developing procedures, monitoring quality assurance programs, and ensuring readiness for inspections and audits.
  • Supervise and support lab personnel, including hiring, training, scheduling, performance management, and fostering a collaborative team environment.
  • Maintain laboratory compliance through policy reviews, regulatory updates, and participation in inspections and proficiency testing programs.
  • Manage inventory, supplies, and instrument service contracts using Lean Six Sigma and Kaizen principles for operational efficiency.
  • Contribute to financial and strategic planning by supporting budgeting processes and leading test development and innovation initiatives.

Your qualifications should include:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum 5 years as a certified or licensed clinical laboratory scientist

Additional Information:

  • Hourly Pay: $56.42 - $94.23
