Job Description
Sarah Lawrence College Music Department seeks a half-time guest faculty member to teach Voice in the fall 2025 and spring 2026 semesters. We are particularly interested in candidates who have a thorough understanding of the stylistic elements needed for all genres, including classical, pop, rock, folk, r&b, traditional and contemporary musical theatre, etc. The ability to work with students of all skill levels and musical backgrounds.
Candidates should have a master’s degree, or higher, in vocal pedagogy, vocal performance, musical theatre, or a related area. Prior teaching experience at the college level. Professional experience as a performer, vocal coach, or other related field.

Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an Employment Visa.

Compensation for this position is on a per-course basis, contingent on teaching experience.
Required Qualifications
Candidates should have a master’s degree, or higher, in vocal pedagogy, vocal performance, musical theatre, or a related area. Prior teaching experience at the college level. Professional experience as a performer, vocal coach, or other related field.
