Job Profile Summary
Under general direction, this position assists the Director of Campus Technology in overseeing IT asset management, including planning, procurement, fulfillment, deployment, re-assignment, disposals, audits, and reporting while adhering to budget office policies and procedures. The role involves collaborating with college departments and vendors to manage assets and address inquiries. Supports the IT department in achieving strategic technology goals focused on efficiency, productivity, and employee engagement to drive organizational success.
Minimum Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology or related program required. Master’s degree preferred. An equivalent combination of experience and education may be considered.
Minimum Experience/Training:
- Six years of related experience with supervisory or lead experience.
- Relevant experience supporting end-users, team management, technology devices, and asset management software.
Essential Functions:
- Daily - 25%: Oversees the inventory of IT assets, ensuring accurate tracking and documentation of all hardware and software throughout their lifecycle, from acquisition to retirement. Collaborates with staff to deploy assets at college locations and for remote users. Manages device tagging, updates the asset database, and coordinates asset transfer, repurpose, and disposal.
- Daily - 10%: Collaborates with the director and assistant directors in the planning and deployment of new technologies, replacement of aging equipment, asset management improvements, equipment standards, and warranty.
- Daily – 15%: Effectively investigates and resolves issues related to IT asset management to ensure optimal operation and utilization. Analyze data related to IT assets to identify trends, usage patterns, and areas for improvement.
- Weekly – 5%: Works closely with cross-functional teams to ensure best practices in asset management are implemented and maintained across the college. Identify inefficiencies in current asset management practices and lead initiatives for continuous improvement.
- Weekly—10%: Ensures that the asset information in the IT asset database is regularly updated and maintained for accuracy. Assist in developing, monitoring, and managing the IT asset procurement and maintenance budget.
- Weekly – 5%: Prepares and presents regular reports on asset management metrics, improvements, and outcomes.
- Monthly – 10%: Responsible for people management of the area, including staffing recommendations, hiring, terminations, and performance evaluations. Supervises and mentors staff, fostering a collaborative team environment and creating training opportunities to keep the team updated on asset management best practices.
- Monthly – 5%: Oversees policies and procedures documentation, ensuring proper implementation and future revisions are managed effectively.
- Annually -5%: Conducts an annual physical verification audit of IT assets to validate the integrity of the asset management database.
- Other - 5%: Attends necessary training and conferences to stay current with present and future trends in asset management technology.
- Other - 5%: Performs related duties as assigned.

- Ability to exchange information, present recommendations and collaborate with colleagues and peers within the College and external third-party vendors.
