Qualifications:
Probability and Statistics studies combinations and permutations, descriptive and inferential statistics, probability and probability distributions, hypotheses testing, regression and correlation, and applications in a variety of practical settings. This is a 3 unit undergraduate course.
This course will be taught online in the 2025 Summer Term (July 7 - August 1) on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 6:00 - 8:30 pm.
In addition to teaching, the instructor is expected to hold regular office hours (a minimum of one hour per week) in order to provide students with support outside of the classroom.
The successful candidate will hold an advanced degree in Mathematics or closely related field. Candidates should have a successful record of teaching experience at the undergraduate level. Preference will be given to those who have previously taught the course or Math 004.
Candidates must reside in California.
The salary range for this position is $7,449 - $10,308 (3 units) and is covered by the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the College and SEIU, Local 1021, available here.
