ABOUT THE OFFICE OF THE UNIVERSITY REGISTRAR
The Office of the University Registrar models the highest standards of the registrar profession in providing exemplary service to the University community and constituents, while ensuring accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality of academic records. Collaborating closely with the Office of Information Technology and a host of vendor partners, the Registrar team designs innovative services and solutions for faculty, staff, advisors, and students. Examples of success include early implementation of preferred names and pronouns for students, a custom faculty and advising center, a new OHIO Guarantee+ Graduation Plan system, and tailored reports and integrations for multiple University constituents.

POSITION SUMMARY
As a senior member of the registrar’s technology and data team, this position leads technology initiatives for the Office of the University Registrar, including implementing new software and technology solutions, and supporting software enhancements and upgrades. Oversees utilization of document management and workflow system within the University Registrar’s Office. Designs and implements technology solutions for automated and mass communication to students using available tools such as a CRM. Maintains the web presence for the registrar’s office.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Leads technology initiatives for the Office of the University Registrar, including implementing new software and technology solutions, and supporting software enhancements and upgrades. This includes developing and executing test plans, providing analysis as needed for new projects, coordinating testing with stakeholders inside and outside the registrar’s office, and understanding the vast amount of data in the registrar’s purview.

Designs and implements technology solutions for mass communications to students from the registrar’s office, utilizing various query and communication tools, including the CRM. Supports all aspects of the communication process, including technical template design, developing queries, and scheduling messaging. Collaborates with OIT as needed to develop solutions to support the communication needs of the office and those the office supports. Maintains the office’s web presence by making updates to the website as requested by content owners, making recommendations for webpages and forms to support accessibility needs, and serving as the main point of contact for content management for the office’s chatbot.

Implement and oversee the utilization of the document management and workflow system throughout the Registrar’s Office. This includes ensuring documents are coded and routed accurately; ensuring queues are being processed; and coordinating with the colleges with regard to the various document types that exist as part of the students’ records.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree by start date or equivalent combination of education and related experience will receive full consideration.

At least 3 years of work-related experience is required.
