What Your Job Will Be Like:
We are seeking a Facilities Technologist to work within the Facility Express team of Site Services.
On any given day, you may be called on to:
- Plan, schedule, coordinate, communicate, and oversee personnel moves and special events requests.
- Analyze service requests and work with customers, Building Managers, and Facility Engineers on the technical aspects of the work and based on technical facilities knowledge and capabilities and capacity of Center 4700 work execution elements, determine the best execution method for accomplishing the work.
- Set priorities in scheduling and performing work to ensure deadlines and objectives are met by contractors.
- Serve as information hub for work performed by Moves Team; report and track progress toward goals for schedules and costs related to facility equipment.
- Receive, log, scan, copy, file and distribute design submittals, Requests for Information (RFIs), submittals, and change orders.
- Attend, participate in, and occasionally, facilitate project meetings with Architectural/Engineering (A/E) firms/construction contractors.
- Maintain single point of legal contractual files, including electronic files for planning through design, construction, inspection/acceptance, closeout, and archives.
- You will assist PM/CM/SDR with the following:
- Monthly invoice processing from the construction contractors, A/Es, and various vendors.
- Processing quotes and change orders from A/E firms and construction contractors for new and existing purchase orders.
- Provide SNL point of contact for contractors on submittals, RFIs, action items, schedules, change orders and invoices.
- Partner with the Infrastructure Services business office to process purchase order, work order, and service order requests.
- Maintain project documentation process, project folder structures, meta-groups, and the overall document management system.
Due to the nature of the work, the selected applicant must be able to work onsite.
Salary Range:
$54,400 - $102,900
*Salary range is estimated, and actual salary will be determined after consideration of the selected candidate's experience and qualifications, and application of any approved geographic salary differential.
Qualifications We Require:
- High school diploma plus three (3) years of administrative experience in facilities management, warehouse/storeroom operation, construction or an Architectural/Engineering-related field.
- Demonstrated experience performing technical assistance in a project environment.
- Two years demonstrated use and proficency with Maximo is required
- Knowledge and experience in facility maintenance activities
- Active DOE L Security Clearance (or equivalent DOD Secret)
Qualifications We Desire:
- Associates Degree in Business Administration or Construction Management
- Two years demonstrated use and proficency with Newforma and Tririga
- Estimating or Construction Management Experience
- Experience with or knowledge of Project Control concepts (earned value management, scheduling, costing, scope management, etc.)
- Knowledge of construction-related terminology and processes
- Knowledge, understanding of work hazards, safety practices, operating configurations, and lockout/tagout policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of Sandia's facility and operational policies, practices, and procedures.
- Knowledge of legal requirements and environmental impacts affecting facility maintenance and operations.

Security Clearance:
Position requires a Department of Energy (DOE) L security clearance to start, or equivalent active security clearance with another U.S. government agency (e.g., DOD).

Applicants for employment need to be able to maintain a DOE L-level security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship.
