Job Summary
The OnCore Specialist is an institutional resource and vendor liaison for the clinical trials management system (CTMS), registry system, 21 CFR Part 11 compliant electronic data capture system, and biorepository system software; for being primary point of contact with investigators and clinical trial coordinators; and for entry of study components into the CTMS including study protocol, calendar of events, and case report forms (CRFs), based upon both Industry and Investigator-initiated protocols, including those with affiliate sites. This position creates institutional reports as requested by AU leadership and the study teams. The OnCore Specialist assists with implementation and roll out of new OnCore features and functionality as well as user training and access.
Responsibilities
The duties include but are not limited to:
Create registries, protocols and calendars in OnCore. Builds CRFs in Advarra EDC, a 21 CFR Part 11 compliant electronic data capture system.
Provide user support and serves as a liaison to Advarra
Create Enterprise-wide reports for administration and study sites
Facilitate user training and access for OnCore and Advarra EDC
Participate in the implementation of standards for clinical data management and common elements for collecting clinical data.
Ensure successful transfer of OnCore to Epic updates for protocol and subject statuses.
Help implement and validate integrations between OnCore and Epic
Contribute to quality assurance by contacting sites if IRB continuing reviews need updated in OnCore or by sending reminders to sites when protocol statuses appear to be stalled, etc.
Lead well defined OnCore related projects in support of the clinical research and administrative staff as directed by the Research System Administrator. Provide oversight to data entry staff assigned to the project when applicable.
Collaborate with study teams in leveraging OnCore functionality for human clinical trials, as needed.
Work closely with Research Development Services (RDS) and Research IT.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in science or health care field with three years of experience as a clinical coordinator for human clinical trials. Proficiency in the use of clinical trials software, preferably OnCore.
Preferred Qualifications
Working knowledge of OnCore software is very desirable.
Regulatory and IRB experience desirable.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer software/databases or willingness to learn.
SKILLS
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. Detail-oriented with strong organizational and prioritization skills.
ABILITIES
Ability to maintain confidentiality, complete work and meet deadlines. Ability to work independently with only general supervision.
Shift/Salary/Benefits
Shift: Days; Monday - Friday (Work outside of normal business hours may be required).
Salary Range: $52,500-$65,600 annually.
Pay Band: B11
Salary to be commensurate with qualifications of the selected candidate within the established range (generally minimum-midpoint) of the position.

Conditions of Employment
