Position Summary

City of Hope Hospital is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Clinical Nurse to join our 2A Clinic team. The 2A Clinic specializes in the care of patients with head, neck, and lung cancers.The Clinical Nurse provides compassionate, evidence-based nursing care for patients. Responsibilities include patient assessment, care planning, treatment administration, and patient education. The Clinical Nurse collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive and individualized care that addresses the physical, emotional, and psychosocial needs of patients and their families.This opportunity is for full-time, 8-hour shifts (5 shifts per week), and is designated for the day shift(roughly 8:30am start time).

As a successful candidate, you will:

  • Direct Patient Care: Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients, including assessment, care planning, treatment administration, and ongoing monitoring.
  • Oncology Treatment Support: Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and other oncology-related treatments following established protocols and safety guidelines.
  • Patient Education: Educate patients and their families on treatment plans, side effects, self-care, and follow-up care instructions.
  • Clinical Assessment: Monitor and assess patients for changes in condition, providing timely intervention and escalation of care as required.
  • Collaborative Care: Work closely with oncologists, social workers, dietitians, and other healthcare professionals to create and implement individualized care plans.
  • Patient Advocacy: Act as a patient advocate, supporting patient rights and ensuring patients receive optimal care.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate, timely, and thorough documentation of patient care activities, adhering to regulatory and institutional standards.
Your qualifications should include:
  • Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s degree in Nursing is required
  • Current California RN license
  • Minimum of three (3) years related experience
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support CPR Card

Salary / Pay Rate Information:
Pay Rate: $59.57 - $86.37 / hour
