The ABA and Autism Assistant Program Director will support the graduate and undergraduate applied behavior analysis (Autism Programs), and co-manage accreditation compliance in collaboration with the ABA/Autism program Director. The position reports to the Chair of the Department of Special Education.
The Department of Special Education welcomes applications for an Assistant Program Director for ABA/Autism and Accreditation.
The salary range for this position is: $72,000 - $75,000.
This position requires an on-campus presence (and is not a remote/off-campus position).

Job Function:
The ABA and Autism Assistant Program Director will support the graduate and undergraduate applied behavior analysis (Autism Programs), and co-manage accreditation compliance in collaboration with the ABA/Autism program Director. The position reports to the Chair of the Department of Special Education.
Minimum Education:
M. A. degree from an accredited institution with BCBA credential
Preferred Education:
Ph.D. in applied behavior analysis or a related field
Minimum Experience:
- Candidates with a M. A. degree must have at least 5 years post-BCBA administrative/leadership experience.
- Candidates with a Ph.D. degree must have at least 3 years administrative/leadership experience.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Collaborate, organize and Co-Chair the ABA/Autism Core Host meeting. Attend the Director’s meetings.
- Co-Chair the ABA/Autism Core and host biweekly core meetings, lead discussions on recruitment, retention efforts, advising, student engagement, curriculum changes, and program-related issues.
- Attend program director meetings to strategize on departmental initiatives and policies, working closely with the Director to ensure alignment with program goals.
- Complete textbook audits.
- Collaborate with the departmental curriculum committee regarding curriculum changes.
- Complete textbook audits to assess the relevance and effectiveness of current materials.
- Submit recommendations for curriculum changes to the departmental curriculum committee, ensuring alignment with academic and industry standards.
- Analyze data findings to design curriculum enhancements that align with industry standards and best practices.
- Assist Department of Special Education ABA leadership in evaluating and ensuring quality control for instructional content and the learner experience.

- Collaborate with the ABA Accreditation and Fieldwork Experience Coordinator to implement feedback mechanisms and ensure alignment with accreditation standards.

- Serve as primary contact for students and faculty to help address issues.
- Support 3,000+ students and faculty, directly addressing issues related to curriculum and academic performance.
- Facilitate communication to help resolve academic challenges and support student success.
- Oversee the “Modules for Success” community for at-risk students.
- Supervise proposed Capstone community.
- Supervise the implementation of program-wide Capstone project.
- Develop assessment criteria and provide guidance on project expectations.
- Facilitate program data analysis. Analyze program data to evaluate student enrollment trends.
- Analyze program data and conduct thorough evaluations of student enrollment trends to inform decision-making.
- Identify key performance indicators to develop strategies for improving enrollment and retention.
- Track enrollment demographics, graduation rates, and student performance to identify areas for program enhancement.
- Review preliminary course loading for faculty. Monitor and support adjunct faculty. Monitor curriculum and align with current standards. Communicate policy changes to faculty.

- Conduct meetings with faculty to relay important BACB updates and facilitate collaborative efforts for compliance.
- Support the ABA/Autism Master’s program Director.
- Undertake additional tasks as assigned by the Department Chair or Program Director, demonstrating flexibility and a commitment to the department's success.
- Collaborate with the Department Chair or Program Director regarding developing program goals, managing budgets, and enhancing student recruitment efforts.
- Oversee and perform tasks in support of the ABA Accreditation Coordinator and Field-based Experience Coordinator.
- Complete tasks for the annual accreditation self-study for the Association of Professional Behavior Analysts (APBA).
- Collect and analyze data measuring program outcomes; evaluate effectiveness, and report findings to stakeholders.
- Support the ABA Accreditation and Fieldwork Experience Coordinator with database management for storing information related to student Capstone projects.
- Maintain current knowledge of changes in accreditation standards and implement necessary adjustments to meet compliance.
