What Your Job Will Be Like:

Are you an inquisitive, system-thinker passionate about Human Resources? If so, Organization 03290, Talent Strategy, is currently seeking a highly motivated Manager, HR Analytics to lead the People Analytics Department!

The selected candidate will enable partners and Human Resource teams to make better human capital decisions by providing key data through innovative tools and platforms designed to deliver just in time business analytic information.

On any given day, one may be called upon to:

  • Lead, manage, and streamline all elements of Sandia’s people analytics functions
  • Energize the team through inclusive behaviors and by leading, managing, coaching, and developing all members of the team to deliver positive business and organizational outcomes
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to identify opportunities for data-informed decisions and steer the implementation and adoption of solutions
  • Partner with data warehouses, data governance, and HRIS teams on requests and issues relating to data quality, architecture, and/or the structure of HR data
  • Oversee the aggregation of sensitive HR data and production of standard, value-added HR reports for Human Resources, HR Business Partners, line managers, and top executives
  • Oversee the design and delivery of customized reports for Human Resources, HR Business Partners, line managers, and top executives
  • Develop audit schedules and oversee regular audits on HR data; report on issues to be corrected
  • Participate in various HR projects and deliver the source data needed for analysis
  • Design training courses for HR Operations teams regarding basic rules for data entry and data maintenance
  • Meet with non-HR reporting and data specialists to ensure HR data aligns with the rest of Sandia
  • Ensure compliance with DOE and Laboratories' policies, procedures, business rhythms and requirements, and applicable legal regulations

The selected applicant can be a remote worker located in any U.S. State or District of Columbia. Regular or periodic travel to your assigned work location may be required.

Salary Range:

$109,300 - $185,700

*Salary range is estimated, and actual salary will be determined after consideration of the selected candidate's experience and qualifications, and application of any approved geographic salary differential.

Qualifications We Require:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Statistics, Business, or a relevant field, plus 8 years in practical applications of statistical analysis, predictive modeling, data analytics, data science, or related experience; or equivalent experience and/or achievements that demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and ability to perform the duties of the job
  • 2 years demonstrated leadership experience (e.g., leading teams, projects, and/or initiatives)
  • The ability to acquire and maintain a DOE L-level security clearance

Qualifications We Desire:

  • Experience managing Data & Analytics teams
  • Experience in people and/or HR analytics, including project management, reporting, analytics, and visualizations
  • Proficiency with SQL, Python, and Microsoft Office (e.g., Tableau, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Word, Teams)
  • Consulting and analytical abilities; the ability to delve into details while maintaining a broader business perspective
  • Proficiency in understanding new technologies, with the ability to train others on uses of technology platforms
  • Exceptional skills in the art of storytelling to deliver insights from quantitative and qualitative data
  • The ability to work well in a dynamic, complex, client- and team-focused environment with minimal oversight and an agile mindset
  • The ability to balance detail (e.g., tracking nuanced client needs) with thinking strategically and holistically about underlying goals and needs
  • The ability to communicate effectively with a broad set of clients from across organizations, spanning multiple levels and varying levels of data literacy
  • Strong organizational skills; managing multiple project priorities simultaneously
  • Strong written and oral communication skills to convey complex topics concisely

The HR & People Analytics organization provides direct access to Human Resources data through innovative tools and platforms designed to deliver just in time business analytic information and allow for self-analysis. Work is delivered through a customer centric vision, targeting exceptional customer service and ease of use.

Posting Duration:

Security Clearance:

Sandia is required by DOE to conduct a pre-employment drug test and background review that includes checks of personal references, credit, law enforcement records, and employment/education verifications. If you have a Medical Portable Electronic Device (MedPED), such as a pacemaker, defibrillator, drug-releasing pump, hearing aids, or diagnostic equipment and other equipment for measuring, monitoring, and recording body functions such as heartbeat and brain waves, if employed by Sandia National Laboratories you may be required to comply with NNSA security requirements for MedPEDs.
