We are seeking a visionary and innovative Regional Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) to join our team as a key leader overseeing all inpatient and outpatient nursing services across Southern California. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer (COO), the Regional CNO will have direct oversight of patient care services, support services, and transformational initiatives that enhance the quality, safety, and efficiency of care delivery.

As a dynamic member of the leadership team, the Regional CNO will partner closely with research, academic, and physician leaders to ensure alignment with strategic goals, advance nursing excellence, and foster a collaborative environment focused on continuous improvement.

As a successful candidate, you will:

    • Lead the delivery of high-quality patient care across inpatient and outpatient settings.
    • Develop and implement patient care and professional practice standards.
    • Drive strategic initiatives, including resource allocation, budget development, and change management.
    • Promote operational efficiencies, positive clinical outcomes, and financial performance.
    • Collaborate with the Chief Medical Officer, Chief of Staff, and Division Chiefs to achieve excellence in quality and patient outcomes.
    • Support clinical research initiatives and foster partnerships with academic and research institutions.
    • Develop technology-enabling strategies to improve patient care and staff development.
    • Provide leadership in workforce planning, ensuring a highly skilled and compassionate team in both organized and non-organized labor environments

Your qualifications should include:

Preferred Qualifications:

    • Doctorate in nursing or related field.
    • CENP, NE-BC, or NEA-BC certification.

Salary / Pay Rate Information:
Pay Rate: $219.71 - $270.10 / hour

The estimated pay scale represents the typical [salary/hourly] range City of Hope reasonably expects to pay for this position, with offers determined based on several factors which may include, but not be limited to, the candidate’s experience, expertise, skills, education, job scope, training, internal equity, geography/market, etc. This pay scale is subject to change from time to time.
