Reporting to the Athletic Director, this individual will be responsible for internal operations, including game day operations, facilities, and business services, managing the department’s administrative functions, and helping to drive and support key initiatives for the athletic department. The successful candidate will be the primary sport administrator for several sports including serving as the administrator for football scheduling, pending experience and interests. The position will serve as the primary athletic liaison with People and Culture (HR), the University Business Office, and campus facilities. This role entails facilitation of communication and collaboration between departments, providing administrative and project management support. Working in a fast-paced environment, this position requires considerable discretion and judgment in organizing and responding to internal and external communications.

Job Function:

Minimum Education:
Bachelor’s degree in business, management, and/or administration, or a related field.
Preferred Education:
Master’s degree in Business Administration or related field.
Minimum Experience:
At least five years of related experience. Experienced sports supervisor with proven leadership abilities, adept at managing diverse stakeholders, working cross-functionally, and handling multiple projects.
Preferred Experience:
Experienced in sport supervision for football and basketball with a master’s degree in Business Administration, over five years in managing internal operations, and a strong background in driving diversity, equity, and inclusion through strategic implementation and inclusive excellence practices.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee all budgetary, fiscal, and business operations.
- Maintain collaborative decision-making authority regarding the organization’s financial health.
- Plan, monitor, and manage the department’s long-term and daily financial activities, including ensuring senior management, coaches, and unit supervisors are aware of financial status.
- Serve as sport supervisor for football and Men's & Women's Basketball.
- Ensure the integration and compliance of the department’s financial and accounting activities with those of the University and works proactively to mitigate audit risks and ensure compliance.
- Manage third party vendor and game contracts and serve as a liaison to the University’s procurement office.
- Assign and review work, orient and train assigned personnel and make recommendations in all areas related to supervision, including but not limited to interviewing and selection, compensation, discipline, performance appraisal, and training and career development of personnel.
- Work closely with the Business Affairs office to ensure compliance with applicable university policies and procedures.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
