The Department of Elementary Education is seeking a full-time contract faculty member. Primary responsibilities include teaching on-campus undergraduate courses in elementary education, partnering with school and community agencies, and performing other duties assigned by the department chairperson.
The Department of Elementary Education welcomes applications for an Assistant Lecturer/Assistant Teaching Professor of Elementary Education.
Job Function:
The Department of Elementary Education is seeking a full-time contract faculty member. Primary responsibilities include teaching on-campus undergraduate courses in elementary education, partnering with school and community agencies, and performing other duties assigned by the department chairperson.
Minimum Experience:
Master’s Degree in Elementary Education or related field from an accredited institution by date of appointment. At least three years (6 academic semesters / 24 months) of elementary level classroom teaching experience.
Preferred Experience:
Doctoral degree in Elementary Education or related field from an accredited institution, university teaching experience, knowledge and experience working with diverse learners, experience partnering with schools and/or community agencies, teaching experiences with preservice teachers in the field, and knowledge of shifts in literacy practices (i.e., Science of Reading).
