Position Description

The Office for Diversity Inclusion and Community Partnership (DICP) is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Program Assistant to support the Commonwealth Fund Fellowship in Minority Health Policy at Harvard University. This role involves fellowship seminars and special sessions, post fellowship support, recruitment and evaluation and other fellowship programs assistance. This role is ideal for someone who excels at coordination, enjoys working with diverse stakeholders, and has a keen interest in health policy and research.

Key Responsibilities:

Fellowship Course and Seminar Coordination

• Manage logistics for health policy courses seminar series
• Schedule and coordinate speakers, including travel arrangements
• Attend classes/lectures to gather and analyze evaluations
• Prepare notes and maintain records for courses and lectures
• Assist in preparing interim and final reports Fellowship Program Support
• Provide logistical assistance for Fellows' Journal Clubs and special sessions
• Support fellowship recruitment, selection, and annual meetings
• Coordinate fellow activities and arrange travel as needed
• Support fellowship overall evaluation and conduct exit interviews for current fellows and manage annual surveys for alumni and fellowship contributors

Research Assistance

• Conduct library and internet research
• Perform literature reviews
• Gather and process data for ongoing projects Alumni Network Management
• Maintain and update the Reede Scholars online alumni database
• Develop alumni spotlight profiles
• Update alumni information on the DICP website
• Manage alumni listserv
• Provide administrative support for Scholars' Symposium and regional meetings
• Conduct follow-up interviews with alumni fellows

Basic Qualifications

Three or more years of related experience. Education beyond high school may count towards experience.

Additional Qualifications and Skills

• Familiarity with the Harvard system is preferred.
• Strong oral and written communication skills, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
• Able to handle numerous projects, prioritize the take initiative. Capable of working independently as well as a team.
• Ability to deal with individuals at all levels within and outside of the University.
• Strong computer skills required (MS. Office, Filemaker Pro.)

Additional Information

This is a term appointment, with an end date of June 30, 2026, with the possibility of renewal contingent on funding.

Please note this is a part-time, 20 hours (.57 FTE) per week position.

Work Format Details

This is a hybrid position that is based in Massachusetts. Additional details will be discussed during the interview process. All remote work must be performed within one of the Harvard Registered Payroll States, which currently includes Massachusetts, Connecticut, Maine, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Vermont, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Virginia, Washington, and California (CA for exempt positions only). Certain visa types and funding sources may limit work location. Individuals must meet work location sponsorship requirements prior to employment.
