Job Description

An Opportunity has arisen on the Pfizer Ringaskiddy API site for a Production Services Specialist reporting to the Production Services Operations Team Lead. This role focuses on delivering a world class Manufacturing Service (cost competitive and operational excellence) delivering RFT performance in safety, quality, cost and supply in the areas of Solvent Recovery, Waste Water Treatment and Utilities/Energy. The role will demand leadership and initiative in the supervision of operations and delivery of services to the Production Plants.

Main Areas of Responsibility:

  • Responsible for Area Safety Performance. Ensure the plant operates to required safety standards. Deliver Operational excellence in safety
  • Deliver effective and up to date SOP’s
  • Responsible for ensuring cGMP standards are met. Deliver required excellent levels of housekeeping and documentation. Deliver audit readiness
  • Ensure Operations related deviations are investigated and resolved through robust corrective and preventive actions. Deliver operation excellence in Quality
  • Liaise with Pfizer network to ensure best practice is adopted

Utilities:

  • Deliver reliable and consistent utilities supply
  • Increase efficiency of managed utilities and optimised cost of operation
  • Deliver Utility cost targets within budget
  • Deliver clear monitoring of energy and water KPI’s for the site
  • Ensure that energy awareness is a focus area.
  • Identify energy and water reduction projects & liaise with engineering / area teams for implementation .

Waste Treatment:

  • Deliver timely waste management services
  • Maximise use of available equipment to minimise waste incineration costs: WWTP and ancillary vessels.
  • Deliver in waste savings / cost avoidance on incineration and support Product Value Streams to drive step change improvements in Solvent and Waste cost
  • Source and deliver alternative technologies/methods for increasing suitability of waste for WWTP & operations.

Solvent Recovery:

  • Deliver timely provision of solvent
  • Support execution of the solvent recovery plan
  • Drive increases in efficiency, optimising solvent recovery
  • Deliver Solvent Recovery Developments for new processes
  • Seek Solvent Recovery opportunities in other Pfizer Locations
  • Deliver Solvent Recovery Yields according to standards and support Operations to achieve MUV targets

Qualifications (Training, Education & Prior Experience):

  • The ideal candidate will hold minimum qualification of a degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Biomedical, Environmental or Energy
  • Industrial experience and in depth understanding of Solvent Recovery, Waste Water Treatment or Site Utilities would be beneficial
