Summary

The Creativity Apps team needs your help shaping the next generation of creative tools by working on pioneering technologies to surprise and delight creative pros and enthusiasts alike. You’ll be working with our world-class teams behind Final Cut Pro and Logic Pro to create next-generation tools for creators. You’ll have the opportunity to work with world class creatives, designers, and engineers to help innovate in the creative space in ways that only Apple can. This is a great opportunity to be part of a team building a new web application in the creative space from scratch. This project is highly visible, and highly impactful. You will be responsible for setting the direction and architecture of our application. You will work with designers, QA teams, and cross-functional teams to go beyond code and influence everything from UI to project planning.
Description
The Creativity Apps teams is seeking a highly skilled Senior Frontend Engineer, with prior experience building v0 to v1 applications. Ideally, you have a full-stack understanding of apps and can jump in elsewhere if needed. You will play a key role in bringing our application to production readiness.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • 7+ years proven experience shipping scalable, maintainable, and testable code
  • Expertise in React, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS
  • Experience with responsive designs and mobile gestures
  • Experience with performance optimizations, coefficient splitting, lazy loading, reducing bundle sizes
  • Understanding of accessibility best practices
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional partners and manage multiple priorities
  • Willingness to ask for help, learn from others, and mentor others
  • Committed to encouraging an open and inclusive work environment
  • Passionate about building delightful user experiences.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience as a technical lead; demonstrating strong communication, collaboration, and project management skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience with HTML canvas, animations, video streaming, and websockets
  • Prioritizes unit, integration, and end-to-end tests as part of development.
