  • This is a PRN position where 8hr shift coverage is needed Monday - Friday. Participation in on-call weekend rotations is required.

  • Operates routine radiographic equipment safely and proficiently.

  • Complies with and enforces all regulatory requirements and policies.

  • Ethically performs duties in alignment with the organization's values. Ensures high-quality radiographs with minimal repeats.

  • Manages multiple rooms and various exam types daily.

  • Communicates with physicians, patients, families, and hospital staff.

  • Engages in performance improvement initiatives and supports department operations, including clerical work, inventory, stocking, and light housekeeping.

  • May train and orient new staff as needed.

  • Cross-training in additional imaging modalities may be required as per the Imaging Director's directives.

  • Suggests repairs and improvements for workflow efficiency.

  • Co-manages scheduling, patient flow, and quality assurance, with an eye on the division's fiscal health.

Education Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent

  • Satisfactory completion of formal Radiologic Technology training in an AMA approved school and registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology in Radiography, ARRT (R),

  • Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.

  • Completion of a minimum of 24 hours of continuing education bi-annually while remaining “in compliance” with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology’s continuing medical education requirement (CME).

  • Minimum of two years of experience after graduation in a major hospital setting; some OR experience preferred

Minimum Experience Required

  • Proficient in diagnostic radiography with additional knowledge of angiography/interventional radiology, surgery, or mammography being advantageous.

  • Possesses excellent customer service and interpersonal abilities.

  • Shows strong organizational, communicative (both verbal and written), mathematical, analytical, computer, and clerical skills.

  • Aware and respectful of patient and family rights as recognized by the hospital.

  • Able to prioritize multiple tasks, work independently without constant oversight, and operate within reasonable time constraints.

  • Engages in collaborative, cooperative, and communicative interactions with physicians, radiologic technologists, and hospital stakeholders to ensure high-quality patient care and meet department goals.

Salary / Pay Rate Information:
Pay Rate: $28.59 - $47.04 / hour

The estimated pay scale represents the typical [salary/hourly] range City of Hope reasonably expects to pay for this position, with offers determined based on several factors which may include, but not be limited to, the candidate’s experience, expertise, skills, education, job scope, training, internal equity, geography/market, etc. This pay scale is subject to change from time to time.
