This administrator supports the Physician Enterprise and City of Hope Medical Foundation by managing contracted professional staff agreements, including physicians, APPs, consultants, and locum tenens. Responsibilities include composing, reviewing, negotiating, and standardizing contracts, as well as overseeing the consultant budget to ensure efficiency and fiscal responsibility. The role provides operational and administrative support, involving contract development, cost negotiation, budget finalization, revenue tracking, and consultant assessments. The position demands creativity, teamwork, and professionalism to handle complex, confidential work and maintain sound fiscal and administrative systems.

As a successful candidate, you will:

  • Manage and maintain the budget for consultants across the organization and Medical Group, monitoring
  • expenses, tracking spending, and ensuring adherence to budgetary constraints.
  • Identify and resolve issues related to contract review, negotiation, and administration.
  • Provide routine status updates to Foundation leadership regarding budget and contract negotiations.
  • Coordinate with relevant groups to ensure consulting agreements are efficiently and timely executed,
  • documented, and compliant.
  • Analyze financial data to identify cost-saving opportunities and optimize resource allocation.
  • Conduct cost/benefit analyses with clinical departments, legal, and finance to ensure contracts are up
  • to date and beneficial to City of Hope.
  • Assess staffing gaps and recommend solutions to address workload demands.
  • Draft and negotiate consultant contracts, collaborating with legal to ensure compliance and risk
  • mitigation.
  • Manage contract renewals, amendments, and terminations.
  • Serve as the primary contact for consultants, fostering positive relationships and ensuring clear
  • communication with stakeholders.
  • Implement best practices for contract administration, budget tracking, and consultant evaluation,
  • leading process optimization initiatives.
  • Perform other administrative duties supporting the Physician Enterprise and COH Medical Foundation.
  • Resolve routine and complex inquiries, ensuring in-depth knowledge of policies and procedures.
  • Organize workflow, initiate follow-ups, and maintain department administrative training manuals.
  • Oversee and assign tasks to administrative support staff.

Your qualifications should include:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Business/ Health Administration or Organizational Management

Experience:

  • 5 or more years of progressively responsible experience in business administration, clinical research, or healthcare environment

Salary / Pay Rate Information:
Pay Rate: $45.22 - $72.36 / hour
