** Competitive starting rate up to $45/hour plus Float differential **
Days and Nights available

The successful candidate:

  • Maintains Competencies and is cross-trained staff assigned each shift for census fluctuations or periods of time for replacement.
  • Assumes the responsibility of the job description for the professional clinical registered nurse and the position-specific requirements of the clinical area assigned.
  • Willingness and ability to provide flexible staffing needs in order to meet the needs of the patient care areas (Refer to CRC Guidelines and Expectations).
  • Ability to interpret and operate cardiac and other invasive and noninvasive monitors, recognize normal/abnormal rhythms /trends, and institute appropriate interventions
  • Attend in house codes and rapid response calls as required
  • Caring for patients with complex needs including hemodynamically compromised and mechanically ventilated patients
  • Initiating and maintain complex IV therapy, including thrombolytic administration, vasoactive medications, central IV catheters, dialysis catheters & arterial lines
  • Safe use of less invasive, life-supporting modalities (i.e. BiPAP, ETCO2, arterial pressure-based CO/CI & SVO2 monitor, core temperature monitors)
  • Must be able to work minimum 36 hours in a 6 week schedule period (12 hour shifts)

Qualifications

Your qualifications should include:

  • One-year current hospital nursing as RN in Critical Care, ED, SDS/PACU, Med/Surg, or Inpatient Stem Cell Transplant Unit.
  • Graduate of NLNAC or CCNE School of Nursing, and licensed in IL
  • BLS certification must be maintained while in this position
  • Telemetry competency - Ability to read and operate cardiac monitor, recognize normal/abnormal rhythms, and institute appropriate interventions
  • ACLS upon hire or obtained by end of orientation period, and maintain while in position
  • Ultrasound guided IV insertion/Phlebotomy experience preferred

Salary / Pay Rate Information:
Pay Rate: $32.85 - $54.13 / hour

The estimated pay scale represents the typical [salary/hourly] range City of Hope reasonably expects to pay for this position, with offers determined based on several factors which may include, but not be limited to, the candidate’s experience, expertise, skills, education, job scope, training, internal equity, geography/market, etc. This pay scale is subject to change from time to time.
