Job Description

Summary

We are looking for a skilled and motivated research technician to join our group as part of the Single Cell Genomics Core who will play a critical role in performing spatial transcriptomic analysis. In this role, you will contribute to cutting-edge research projects aimed to understanding the spatial organization of gene expression within tissues. The successful candidate should demonstrate the ability to quickly learn new technologies.

Job Duties

Key Functions

  • Perform single cell spatial experiments using Merscope and Xenium Platform.
  • Tissue Staining - H&E stain and IHC.
  • Data transfer to the customers.
  • Train and support customers.

Secondary Functions

  • Assemble and operate laboratory apparatus and equipment.
  • Records and evaluates data in accordance with methods requested.
  • Maintains records of samples received, data produced and their location.

Ordering and stock management

  • Manage inventory of lab supplies and equipment.
  • Create and manage receipts for purchased items, ensuring accurate documentation and record-keeping
  • Maintain organized and up-to date records of all financial transactions related to lab operations.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a Basic Science or related field. Four years of related experience may substitute for degree requirement.
  • One year of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in basic science or a related field.
  • One year or more of research experience in molecular biology.
  • Experienced in techniques related to DNA and RNA handling is highly desired.
  • Previous experience in histology is a plus, but not essential.
