What Your Job Will Be Like:

Are you passionate about your work and dream of using innovative facilities to deliver solutions? We are seeking a Team Lead, Facilities to join our team!On any given day, you may be called on to:

  • Primarily oversee non-exempt and entry-level exempt members of the workforce, within the team, and work with the organization's manager on hiring, professional development, and assessment and performance management, consistent with the mission of the organization.
  • Coordinate subordinate employee recruitment, selection, training, work assignments, recognition and disciplinary actions, and contribute to performance assessments.
  • Ensure that customer needs are satisfied by managing and coordinating specific deliverables, project plans, budgets, structures, schedules, and staffing requirements.
  • May contribute to the acquisition and development of staff resources, capabilities, and existing and future projects.
  • Supervise members of the workforce who construct, maintain, and repair utilities systems, buildings, equipment, and infrastructure.
  • Apply specialized knowledge and experience to independently judge work quality, performance, and alignment of results with customer expectations.
  • Set priorities, forecasts, and allocate resources needed to complete all predictive, preventive, and corrective maintenance tasks.
  • Provide system operation and reliability data to system engineers, ensuring reliability and performance, and recommend technical improvements to processes.
  • Serve as first responder to analyze and assess system condition during outages and after hours; and coordinate and direct a response team to make the system operational.

Due to the nature of the work, the selected applicant must be able to work onsite.

Salary Range:

$95,400 - $157,500

*Salary range is estimated, and actual salary will be determined after consideration of the selected candidate's experience and qualifications, and application of any approved geographic salary differential.

Qualifications We Require:

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant discipline plus five (5) or more years of experience in a facilities organization; or equivalent combination of education and/or relevant experience
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an active DOE L-level security clearance

Qualifications We Desire:

  • Experience establishing and overseeing health and safety standards.
  • Experience providing technical guidance and direction to craft for system operation and necessary repair.
  • Proficient in facilities standards, in addition to other computer applications; and possesses the ability to visually operate and maintain physical systems and components.

About Our Team:

Department 4743, Structural Services, provides preventive and corrective maintenance on all administrative locks, painting, building structural systems and equipment, pedestrian pathways, fences, gates, parking lots, roadways—both improved (asphalt and concrete) and unimproved, water deliveries to water storage tanks, cranes and hoists, and landscape areas. The department also provides excavation and emergency support to Sandia National Laboratories when requested by the Incident Commander. Services include, install, repair and maintain a variety of insulation materials on all types of interior/exterior facilities equipment and component parts or other mechanical distribution systems. Provide 24-7 emergency support to Sandia National Laboratories when requested by the Incident Commander.
