Job Description

Summary

Provide pre-award and post-award grant administration support for the section of Pediatrics Neurology. Prepare budgets for pre award grant applications to sponsors ensuring accurate routing through BCM's BRAIN system. Produce monthly financial reporting for section administrator, faculty and leadership as requested using SAP software, BRAIN CTMS and contract tracking data.

This position is eligible to work a hybrid work arrangement.

Employees with CRA certification are eligible for certification pay.

Job Duties

  • Updatecost and effort distribution in SAP as related to research faculty and staff.
  • Consultwith faculty regarding funding opportunities, eligibility and application requirements.
  • Prepareoutgoing subcontracts and reviews incoming subcontracts.
  • Managethe expense activity and account balances and tracks the general revenue and other income deposits for section cost centers.
  • Review research expenditures to ensure accuracy and appropriateness.
  • Responsible for pre-reviewing effort records in the Effort Reporting System.
  • Develop and maintain SOP's and procedural guides.
  • Serve as an information resource related to grants and contracts for faculty, fellows and staff.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree. Certified Research Administrator certification through the Research Administrators Certification Council (RACC) may substitute for the degree requirement.
  • Two years of relevant experience.
