Job Description

Summary

This position is created to assist with the daily operational needs of the Baylor Pathology- West Bellfort lab, and assist with the operational needs of affiliated Ambulatory Surgery Centers and Hospitals, as needed.

Job Duties

  • Performs daily quality assurance on patient's demographics.
  • Monitors the two LIS for delayed cases on a daily base.
  • Assists with the monthly subspecialty schedule.
  • Assists with customer relations.
  • Checks the fax error log from the day before and ensure that the reports are delivered.
  • Requests clinical histories, as requested by the pathologists.
  • Assists pathologists with outside ancillary reports.
  • Assists pathologists with amendments and addendum reports.
  • Performs other tasks, as requested by the manager.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Two years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with Medical Terminology in the field of Pathology.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft softwares.
  • Previous experience in healthcare, including Anatomical Pathology.
  • Previous experience with customer relations.
