The Purchasing Agent is responsible for the timely procurement of goods and services at the best value for TGen and maintains best purchasing practices by utilizing current technology and optimized pricing agreements. Also assists in the development of negotiation plans with established suppliers. This position participates on project teams to streamline internal processes, improve Purchasing customer service within the company, and is expected to participate in the development and delivery of Purchasing related training programs to personnel.
- Meeting / Project participation.
- Purchase order/Receiving processes and all related activity, including issue investigation/ownership and customer service
- Establishing effective end-user working relationships.
- Supplier management participation.
- Reports, data analysis, need assessments, other duties as assigned.
- Identify and initiate process improvements.
- Training, personal development.
