Summary
Are you a detail-oriented Software QA Engineer with a passion for making a global impact? As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a seamless software update experience for millions of Apple users worldwide.

Your primary focus will be on qualifying both tethered and over-the-air (OTA) software updates for all Apple platforms, internal and external. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve issues, ensuring the highest quality standards that Apple is renowned for.

As a Release Validation FCS QA Engineer, you will ensure that all OTA and tethered software updates for macOS, iOS, watchOS, tvOS, and visionOS meet the highest quality standards.
Description
Develop, execute, and automate test plans and scripts for software updates across all Apple platforms.
Perform manual testing to ensure the software update flow functions flawlessly.
Collaborate with software engineers, project managers, and other QA engineers to address issues related to software updates.
Identify, escalate, and resolve critical issues affecting the update process, ensuring the smooth delivery of updates to users.
Leverage your expertise in testing methodologies to triage and prioritize issues, propose resolutions, and maintain effective communication with relevant stakeholders.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Availability to work all weekends.
  • Flexibility to work a shift schedule (Thursday to Monday or Friday to Tuesday).
  • Strong debugging and problem-solving skills, with the ability to independently investigate and resolve complex issues.
  • Effective triaging skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and propose solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with scripting languages (Python, Perl, or Shell).
  • Ability to work both independently and in collaboration with others.
  • Highly organized, motivated, and creative with a passion for achieving results.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to collaborate with external teams and drive issue resolution.
