The successful candidate:

The Cellular Therapy Scheduler position is responsible for maintaining schedules for the patients, providers, malignant hematology, leukemia, and stem cell transplant departments. They must conduct face-to-face interviews, telephone interaction, and electronic contact functions and must coordinate all aspects of patient care. The coordinator must maintain accurate schedule and visit information to support patient satisfaction as well as accurate schedule and tracking functions.

JOB RESPONSIBLITIES

  • Interview patients to ascertain their needs for all interactions with providers, diagnostic departments, treatment modalities and ancillary services.
  • Coordinate physician appointment orders with patient requests to build a schedule for each patient that incorporates all pertinent information.
  • Works collaboratively with the cellular therapy transplant and leukemia coordinator and finance team to establish a seamless flow of timely scheduled events for pre and post-transplant evaluation and medical follow-up needs.
  • Enter data into electronic medical record and manipulate data to coordinate both patient and provider schedules in multiple computer systems.
  • Notify patients and providers of impending schedules, changes in schedules and pertinent preparation for tests and exams through face-to-face, telephone and electronic means.
  • Maintain, manipulate & coordinate physician schedules to incorporate time constraints, patient types and desired statistical outcomes.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to assist in the continued operations of the department and the enterprise and for the continued satisfaction of patients, their families, caregivers and fellow stakeholders.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Experience: 3-5 years of professional experience in multifaceted online computer applications

Education: High School Diploma or GED

Salary / Pay Rate Information:
Pay Rate: $18.94 - $29.28 / hour

The estimated pay scale represents the typical [salary/hourly] range City of Hope reasonably expects to pay for this position, with offers determined based on several factors which may include, but not be limited to, the candidate’s experience, expertise, skills, education, job scope, training, internal equity, geography/market, etc. This pay scale is subject to change from time to time.
