Job Description
Summary
The intern will be trained to conduct routine mouse husbandry procedures, analyze and visualize digitally collected behavioral data from mouse subjects and will learn how to conduct a set of widely utilized benchtop protocols (e.g., PCR, immunohistochemistry)
Job Purpose
Provides temporary administrative or laboratory support to a department while gaining practical work experience.
Job Duties
- Performs weaning, sexing, and collectstail DNA from mice.
- Performs DNA PCR, qRT-PCR, and immunohistochemistry.
- Performs graphing and statistical analysis using matlab, excel and prism graphpad.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be enrolled in high school or be a high school graduate (or equivalent secondary education) or enrolled in an institution of higher education.
