Job Summary

The Assistant Director of Admissions, Transfer Recruitment will supervise a team of individuals and lead efforts in the recruitment, admission, credit transfer, and onboarding of all undergraduate transfer students to Augusta University. The Assistant Director will have the commitment to transfer student success, be able to develop collaborative relationships with academic departments to enhance the transfer student experience, and exhibit the strategic and analytical capacity to create a more seamless transfer experience for all students. The Assistant Director will work in collaboration with academic departments, student success offices, and technical/community college partners to meet the institution's enrollment goals.

Responsibilities

Duties include, but are not limited to:

SUPERVISION: Recruit, select, train, and supervise a team of 2 staff members within the Office of Undergraduate Admissions, conducting performance evaluations, goal setting, time and leave compliance, and essential project management. Overseeing efforts in both the recruitment and operations spaces to improve the transfer student experience from inquiry to registered student.

TRANSFER STUDENT COMMUNICATION: Develops and updates customized communication plans for transfer students for all programs of study and assists with the creation of print and electronic collateral.

ARTICULATION AGREEMENTS: Lead in the development and maintenance of articulation agreements and MOUs with partner colleges to raise the profile of transfer at Augusta University and aid in the seamless transfer of students from identified institutions.

RECRUITMENT: Under the supervision of the Transfer Admissions Counselor, manages recruitment for all transfer students and is responsible for meeting transfer student recruitment and enrollment goals per semester. Uses data and trends to plan and lead recruitment efforts for transfer students.

CREDIT EVALUATION: In conjunction with the supervision of the Admissions Transfer Evaluation Coordinator, manages the establishment and loading of transfer credit for all degree-seeking undergraduate applicants to the university. Including credit awarded from colleges/universities, military service, and various tests. Continually assessing efficiency and making recommendations for improvement, both within the admissions office and among the academic departments.

REPORTING AND PROCESS IMPROVEMENT: Provides required or requested information and/or data for transfer applications, establishes course equivalencies for internal and external reports and records, and organizes and presents the information in a usable and understandable format. Assists in effective training on departmental procedures and policies, making appropriate work assignments.

OTHER DUTIES: Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with 2-3 years of experience in recruitment, marketing, or higher education.

A valid driver's license is required.

Preferred Qualifications

Master's degree from an accredited college or university. Management skills related to supervision planning, and familiarity with secondary and postsecondary school systems are also preferred.

Demonstrated ability to solve problems and initiate and implement projects independently, efficiently, and effectively.

Shift/Salary/Benefits

Shift: Days; Monday-Friday (work outside of normal business hours may be required)

Pay Band: B10

Salary: $52,500/ annually - $54,476/ annually

Salary to be commensurate with qualifications of the selected candidate within the established range (generally minimum-midpoint) of the position
