Summary
Pediatrics is seeking a Student Helper to assist with Hematology/Oncology projects.
Job Duties
- Performs benchwork to test the mutations associated with leukemia in children with Down syndrome, by mutating cell lines with CRISPR and:
- Measures the expression of relevant genes
- Tests the binding of transcription factors
- Counts relative cell growth
- Maintains cell lines for other projects.
- Assists with mouse colony maintenance.
- Acquires blood samples from mice for testing.
- Organizes/cataloges patient and cell line samples
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be a High School or College Student (undergraduate or graduate).
- No experience required.
