Job Description

Chain Reaction Innovations (CRI) is a two-year entrepreneurial program at Argonne that embeds climate tech and clean energy startup companies with scientists at Argonne to help de-risk their technologies and prepare for launch to market. In addition to providing access to research and development (R&D) at Argonne, CRI supports the innovators in each cohort by providing business and entrepreneurial training that in turn helps them scale their businesses.

CRI innovators are embedded in the research divisions at Argonne and conduct R&D in collaboration with Argonne principal investigators (PIs) and in their laboratories. Given that CRI admits 5-7 innovators in each annual cohort and each cohort is for a two-year term, there are 10-15 active projects in the CRI program at any given time.

To position the CRI program for growth while maintaining operational excellence and providing additional project management support to CRI innovators and Argonne PIs, CRI is seeking a highly motivated Technical Project Manager to help drive CRI projects through their life cycle and ensure project plans adhere to agreed upon timeline, budget, and scope. The Technical Project Manager is a sound communicator who can link all stakeholders to ensure high levels of quality and report on risks, issues, and accomplishments. The position will report to CRI Director.
