Summary

To provide professional administrative services, performing general office duties incorporating a variety of basic and routine administrative duties. Works under general supervision to perform work that is varied, where problems are complex and problem-solving approach is less prescribed. Uses prior experience and education to apply a broader knowledge and skill set to one’s work. Independent decisions are made within the scope of responsibility.

Responsibilities*

General office and timekeeping support
Assist in unit financial and purchasing management
Process various HR-related transactions
Provide general HR support including new staff onboarding
Approve and manage MNA fund
Staff scheduling using OnStaff
Meeting scheduling, coordination and facilitation
Travel arrangements and reimbursement using Concur
Manage paid time off and FMLA departmental records
Manage RN License renewals and competencies
Obtain purchase orders online & review expenses as needed with leadership
Provide a variety of basic and routine clerical and secretarial duties
Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications*

Minimum of bachelor’s degree.
Minimum of four years’ administrative experience.
Ability to type 60 + words per minute with accuracy.
Strong attention to detail.
Effective time management and problem-solving skills.
Experience working in a customer care with direct customer responsibilities.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to work well as part of a team and adapt to change in a positive and constructive manner.
Documented history of excellent attendance.
Proficient working knowledge of computers with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint preferred.
Excellent verbal communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and cooperatively, prioritize and complete tasks in a timely manner.
Demonstrated ability to do exceptional tracking and follow up with excellent attention to details.
Demonstrated ability to multitask in an environment of shifting priorities with a high degree of accuracy.
Proficiency with MPathways.
Desired Qualifications*

Ambulatory clinic experience.
Front Desk Clerical Experience.
Working knowledge of medical terminology.
Experience with electronic medical record documentation (Epic System).
Knowledge of UMHS policies and procedures.
Knowledge of UMPNC contract.
Actively pursuing a higher educational degree related to administrative responsibilities.
