Job Description

Argonne maintains a broad program of cooperation with the academic community to promote research and education in scientific and technical fields of interest to DOE's programs and facilitate interrelationships in these fields between Argonne and the academic community.  These interactions between Argonne and the academic community strengthen the research and development capability of Argonne while providing enhanced academic strengths to the educational institutions.  To achieve these objectives, joint appointments may be effected between Argonne and other academic institutions and can include an Argonne employee appointment to a university and a university employee appointment to Argonne.


NOTE:  Argonne employees may not report to a Joint Appointment Contingent Worker.  A Joint Appointment/Unique Status Employee position would need to be created for the worker, who would then be moved into that position in order to manage Argonne employees.
