Job Description

Summary

Baylor College of Medicine is seeking a  Physician Billing Specialist I who is detail oriented, enjoys working as a team and independently in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Physician Billing, which includes patients registration, must be able to maintain the security of patients information such as HIPAA regulations, data entry,  and maintains  Pre-A/R work queues.

Job Duties

  • Monitors and maintains workques (registrations, self-pay, medicaid found, and others).
  • Assists with missing surgery reports, reviews operative notes if ready for processing,
  • Assists with data entry.
  • Resolves patient billing issues, resolves patient reconciliations reports,
  • Assists with helping departments meet monthly goals and deadlines.
  • Works overtime during month end.
  • Handles billing for varies departments.
     

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Six months of relevant experience.
