Job Description

Summary

We are seeking a Physician Billing Specialist II who is detail oriented, enjoys working as a team and independently in a fast paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Physician Billing, which includes patients registration, must be able to maintain the security of patients information such as HIPAA regulations, data entry, maintaining  Pre-A/R workqueues, and other duties as assigned. Effective computer skills are important for the use of varies hospital portals.

Job Duties

  • Assists with helping departments meet monthly goals and deadlines.
  • Assists with missing surgery reports.
  • Maintains workques (registrations, self-pay, medicaid found, and others) assist with missing surgery reports, review operative notes to determined if ready for processing,.
  • Reviews operative notes to determined if ready for processing.
  • Assists with data entry.
  • Resolves patient billing issues.
  • Resolves patient reconciliations reports.
  • Works overtime during month end.

 

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Two years of relevant experience.
