Job Description

The Patient Access department encompasses many different roles and responsibilities within Moffitt Cancer Center. It plays a critical part in our overall success as most of its services represent the beginning of the Revenue Cycle. Representatives of Patient Access wear many different hats at any given moment, and are proficient in a multitude of areas including registration and scheduling. 

We are currently looking for a Patient Access Quality Trainer to join our team. 

Position Highlights:

  • The Patient Access Quality Trainer plays a critical role in laying the foundation of good knowledge for those employed under the Patient Access umbrella.
  • Responsibilities include delivering training sessions related to revenue cycle initiatives, including but not limited to new hire orientations, open forums, formal classroom training courses, web-based training, one-on-one sessions, workshops, on-the-job training, and exercise seminars.
  • Training sessions will encompass Revenue Cycle policies, procedures, work-flows and applications. The Trainer will schedule, organize and facilitate these training sessions with all Revenue Cycle members and other positions considered influential to Revenue Cycle operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver training sessions related to revenue cycle initiatives.
  • Schedule, organize and facilitate training events and programs.
  • Evaluate effectiveness of training programs.
  • Assist Curriculum Development Specialist in developing curriculum.

Credentials and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Two (2) years Moffitt Clinic application experience to include Soarian Financial and Cerner Millennium,
    • OR -
  • One (1) year of hands on teaching experience providing technical education and one (1) year of Moffitt Clinic application experience,
    • OR -
  • A minimum of four (4) years of certified teaching experience in a formal classroom environment and/or structure. This would include face-to-face and blended learning experience.
  • Proficiency at presenting education materials, public speaking, and prioritizing tasks.
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Word, Powerpoint and Excel.
  • Proficiency in evaluating effectiveness of training programs and recommending changes in instructional objectives and methods.

The ideal candidate will have the following:

Knowledgeable of outpatient clinic processes.
