Responsibilities
The Zhao lab is looking for a Research Technician. This position provides an excellent opportunity for an individual who wants to begin a career in science and/or medicine. Research projects in the Zhao lab are centered around the regulatory mechanisms for T cell differentiation and functions important for therapeutics against autoimmune diseases, infectious diseases, and cancers. The individual will receive training in state-of-the-art immunology, genetics, molecular biology and developmental biology techniques.

The research technician is expected to perform routine laboratory procedures according to standardized protocols and report results. The individual receives detailed instructions on assignments and regular supervision. The individual will have opportunities to work with a team on significant projects or lead independent projects.


Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree typically in one of the biological sciences, physics, or chemistry or equivalent years of professional, paid, relevant laboratory experience. OMRF has mandated the COVID-19 vaccine for all employees, excluding those with an approved medical or religious accommodation, as a condition of employment.
