The Department of Neurology is seeking an senior administrative assistant to provide administrative support to faculty physicians in the department to coincide with their fast-paced medical practices, research, education and administrative activities. The incumbent will work closely with faculty for coordination of meetings, events and travel; the preparation of presentations and written reports for meetings and research activities; and act as a liaison for patients and visitors. Managing patient inquiries, triaging incoming phone calls and correspondence, and performing online literature searches will also be expected, as well as providing support for special projects as needed.
The candidate must possess superior verbal and written communication skills, as well as strong organizational and administrative abilities. Candidate must also work with great attention to detail, show initiative, and demonstrate flexibility to respond to the varying demands in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) is required. Proficiency with EPIC is preferred. To be competitive, applicants should have significant related experience in administrative support in a higher education or medical office setting. A Bachelor’s degree may be considered in lieu of experience. A High School diploma or equivalent with at least four years of experience is required.
