Summary

The Senior Data Analytics Associate plays a key role in the data and Quality Initiatives (QI) infrastructure of the Division. This individual will be responsible for using data to design, create, and maintain analyses, reports, and tools in support of clinical and business operations. The Senior Data Analytics Associate performs advanced data analysis utilizing appropriate analytics methodologies and fosters data-driven decision-making by providing valuable consultative analytics support.

Job Duties

  • Participates in data insights and analytics for the division's QI projects and collaboratives.
  • Supports data requests for the division including data visualization, reporting, data queries, and study feasibility.
  • Provides support for strategic planning initiatives for QI pillar and division initiatives.
  • Interprets complex data, analyzes results using statistical techniques and provides ongoing reports in support of strategic goals.
  • Provides support in identification, integration and preparation of large volumes of data.
  • Understands functional areas' business requirements and translate into technical specifications and user-friendly reports and dashboards.
  • Prepares high quality documentation that follows established guidelines.
  • Recommends improvement to and changes in operations to increase effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Participates in QI projects and collaboratives (MINI study, BPD Collaborative, Project HOME, NIKST Study, HIE study, DRIVE/SUGAR studies).(~30% of effort/time)
  • Supports clinical care programs and NBC Quality team with data needs: data visualization (dashboards), reporting, data queries, study feasibility, resource assignments, participate in clinical care program meetings (ALI, SBU, HGI, Neonatal Nutrition). Leads the Mortality clinical program: coordinate data abstraction and support faculty with reporting needs. Present quarterly mortality data report at QAPI meetings. (~35% of effort/time)
  • Participates in QI Pillar Strategic Planning initiative for the Newborn Center/Neonatology section. (~15% of effort/time)
  • Manages CHNC/VON databases, oversee data collection, and verify protocols, policies and procedures are followed during research activity. (~15% of effort/time)
  • Serves as the Database administrator and administrative contact for 2 national databases: VON (2 sites, 3 in 2024), CHNC databases and other studies. (~5% of effort/time)
  • Performs other job duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree. Four years of relevant experience may substitute for degree requirement.
  • Four years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in a related field.
  • Experience with EPIC EHR.
  • Experience with Clinical Quality Data.
