ROLE SUMMARY
VELSIPITY represents an exciting new launch opportunity within Specialty Care. The launch of VELSIPITY in October 2023 was an important milestone as Pfizer endeavors to expand its leadership in I&I. This new oral medicine supports patients with moderately to severely active Ulcerative Colitis, with a focus on patients in their first line of advanced therapy.
Given the robust product profile, our history in the GI therapeutic area, and the substantial unmet need in UC, we project this product to become a significant revenue contributor within the portfolio. A critical success factor to a successful launch in this crowded category is to continue driving awareness of our benefit:risk profile, which is highlighted with our 2024 HCP campaign launch.
The VELSIPITY HCP Sr Manager is a crucial role that will lead all non-personal promotion strategy & own the brand media budget. This colleague will directly manage our creative and media agencies of record and work closely with the Media Lab team to optimize our content, channel and placement strategy to achieve brand launch objectives. This high-visibility position will support a number of key milestones and initiatives launching in 2024 including our fully branded HCP campaign. This colleague will also support the launch of our enhanced messaging platform post-OPDP Feedback (expected April ‘24). This role reports to the VELSIPITY HCP Team Lead and will work closely with cross-functional colleagues and external vendors.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
The VELSIPITY HCP Sr. Manager – Non-personal Promotion Lead, is a mission critical role that will focus on HCP engagement across channels to ensure maximization of brand awareness, key messaging recall, and brand sentiment to ensure a successful launch year. This teammate will be accountable for translating customer insights into meaningful strategies and adjusting in response to in-market metrics in order to optimize HCP engagement. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Lead non-personal promotion strategy: ensure consistent HCP cross-channel experience; identify and evaluate new capabilities, platforms and channels; incorporate best practices and learnings into all omnichannel tactics
Lead performance reporting and drive continuous improvement post-launch; track KPIs and identify areas for optimization and improvement (channels, targeting, content)
Partner with personal promotion team to compliment/ enhance Field Force efforts, including CRM strategy, media tactics, and HCP brand website
Drive test and learn approach across all omnichannel tactics; define and execute A/B testing
Partner with Media team and AOR to maintain and adapt media plan on an ongoing basis
Implement HCP audience builds for media targeting and measure/ optimize impact
Oversee/execute transition from Now Approved media to content-rich creative including full branded campaign and messaging
Launch brand new synergistic HCP campaign across tactical asset ecosystem
Thoughtfully incorporate enhanced messaging platform post-OPDP feedback
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree required; MBA preferred
7 years of pharmaceutical experience
HCP marketing experience required
Digital and social marketing expertise
Launch product experience preferred
Ability to understand customer needs, extract key insights, and translate these into meaningful strategies and in market results
Demonstrated creativity and innovative idea development
Strong communication and presentation skills, ability to mobilize key stakeholders and engage senior leadership
Demonstrated success in maintaining productive/collaborative relationships with internal and external business partners
Proven track record of operating in a fast-paced, high energy environment
Enthusiasm and self-motivation are essential
Bachelor’s Degree required, MBA preferred
Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.
